I believe it was sculpted by hand and is signed on the bottom with what appears to read "THacaring" or similar

Perhaps they made it to bind the work of a class, or a group of summer campers, or maybe just their own masterpieces. I found it empty, but would certainly love to see it put to use, though I might myself
